Software update

Version 12.2.7

  • Fixed issue that occurred when editing a ticket. The "Send to" drop-down menu previously displayed archived users.
  • Modified "Case" drop-down menu so that it now displays cases based on the permission/access level of a given user.
  • Fixed issue resulting in error message when the user attempted to auto-generate sub-locations without first properly configuring the feature.
  • Fixed issue with Advanced search. Previously, date fields (without time stamps) would errantly display an hour depending on the user's time zone.
  • Fixed issue where stored procedure Get_Location_ID_Path would spin infinitely if an ID didn’t exist in the database.
  • Fixed issue where you would lose Item List tab results if you selected a sort option on the list.

Version 12.1.18

  • User admin now searches across all agencies the user has access to.
  • Users can no longer add blank locations.
  • Tickets “Send To” field now works with single location clients
  • Update locations in user admin (manual, not with the control panel) wasn’t working unless you cancelled the save
  • Corrected issue where someone tries to click on "update persons" and there are no people associated with a case, the page would throw an error.
  • File Attachment if required and left blank, gives warning. Also upload of file works now for that field.
  • View tab now displays 100 cases with a scroll bar.
  • When deleting lab data from a form, a pop-up is displayed confirming the deletion.
  • Move feature of custom fields is now working
  • Users can now have “Issued To” to be either a plain textbox, a textbox with AJAX dropdown, or a regular dropdown. (set IssuedToDropdown to 0 for textbox, 1 for AJAX, 2 for dropdown)
  • Users can now have required custom barcodes.
  • Reorder the item list so that status is first, location second, category third.

Version 12.1.11

New features

  • eAlerts for new items: Your tracking system can now be set up to send eAlerts when new items are added. If you would like to enable this feature, perform the following steps:
    1. Navigate to User Administration.
    2. Click on the group 'eAlerts - Add item'.
    3. Add the users you want to receive the eAlerts.
  • Create lists from scanned items: Due to popular demand, we've developed a feature that allows users to scan sets of items and view them in a list within the system. Once the items have been scanned and discovered within the system, the user can then perform transactions on them as needed. To take advantage of this feature, navigate to the 'Item Scanning' page and select 'Scan Items Create List' in the 'Perform Transaction' dropdown list.
  • User Search: The User Administration section now contains a feature allowing you to search for users within the system. You can search by username, first name, last name or email address.
  • Group Tickets: When creating a new ticket, users now have the option to assign the ticket to a specific group of users. When a ticket is assigned to a group, an email will be sent to each member of the group, allowing each of the group's users to work on the ticket or close it out. Groups are compiled by system administrators in the User Administration section.

Fixes

  • Repaired bug causing errors when selecting the first item in the User List.
  • Previously, stored procedure intermittently failed to record Date Recovered and Time Recovered information in tblEvidence_Items.
  • Updated the item list to slightly darken the background and convert text to black.
  • Previously, when saving persons, an error resulted when user did not contain abbreviated state names.
  • The Advanced Search print pop-up window now accounts for sorting by Item splits (ItemSort).
  • On user admin panel, if the user is set to only one agency and you set their primary agency to another agency, there are two records in tblEmployees_Locations for the original primary agency.
  • Advanced search would break when searching by checked out date as well as disposition date and checked in date.
  • Print advanced search results window now accounts for sort order box size
  • Item Description when splitting items was getting truncated to 500 characters instead of 1000 characters
  • Advanced search results now have a pagination control rather than a long list of pages

Version 12.1.3

New features

  • Forgot password: New to the log-in page, we've added a 'Forgot Password' link. By clicking it, users can reset their system password by supplying a username and valid email address. Information about resetting the password will be sent to the user's provided email address.
  • User Admin mass update: System and Site Administrators can now perform User Administration functions in bulk. By taking advantage of the new control panel on the right hand side of the User Administration screen, you now have the ability to perform transactions on multiple user accounts at once. For example, you can reset passwords for every user in your system simultaneously.

Fixes

  • GMT time with the new custom Time/Date fields was displaying off at times - corrected how DST adjustment was being calculated for those combo fields.
  • Found an issue with the way ItemSort was being stored for cases with large number of items. (Fixed and pushed because of the broad impact).
  • Sometimes transaction confirmation pages (move, check in, etc) was showing both the new item numbering "1.1" and the old "(S:1)".
  • Users with multiple agencies can now add documents to agencies other than their primary.
  • Users can now mass update non-disposed items as send to lab.
  • USPS disposition process.
  • Images that are attached to items or cases are now downloaded instead of displayed in the browser window.
  • User list custom fields now default to the first person in the dropdown.
  • The audit report now only displays locations that have items or have sublocations that have items.
  • Tickets now display the proper posted date.
  • A plug-in report is available in all systems that allow the user to copy persons from one case to another.
  • A tab was added to the scan item menu that allows the user to scan item barcodes and view the items in a list.
  • The item list did not format DD/MM/YYYY dates correctly.
  • When checking in/moving an item, there was a duplicate location dropdown.
  • When performing a move transaction, the page briefly shows the item list before redirecting to a different page. The item list is now hidden when there are no validation problems.
  • The timestamp on the discrepancy report page was not covered to local time from UTC.
  • After creating an inventory report on the scan item page, the user was redirected straight to the PDF of the report. To exit the PDF, the user had to use the backspace which brought them back the the item scanning page. Now, when the report is finished the user is brought to the 'Discrepancy Report' page listing the finished report.
  • Advanced search results page now lists a report as 'Failed' when it fails to run.
  • Complete redo of the add item without case function.
  • If an item (originally added without a case) is added to a case that doesn't exist, an error message appears.
  • Add item without a case did not work with the new item splitting.
  • Add item without a case did not save dates/time to UTC.
  • Adding an item without a case did not use a distinct piece number.
  • Adding an item without a case did not work with userlist, combobox and file upload custom fields.
  • Add item without a case page hard coded the word 'case' instead of using the custom name specified by the customer.
  • When adding an item without a case, the location selected by the user did not save correctly.
  • The 'Save and Duplicate' function on the 'add item without a case' page was not functional.
  • The 'Save and Create new item' function on the 'add item without a case' page was not functional.
  • Pagination on the 'Add item without a case' page now functions for lists over 100 items.
  • The tab on the 'Items w/ no case' page did not highlight when selected.
  • Global custom fields did not appear on the 'Items without a case' page when duplicating an item.
  • The add item without a case page didn't show the location of the item if the location was permanent.
  • Duplication an item without a case did not save the temporary case name.
