Zebra TLP2844 reset

Sometimes, resetting the printer to the factory defaults solves some of the problems. For troublehooting and to overwrite all stored parameters, send the ^default command.

  1. Click the Windows Start button on your computer, go to settings and then printers/faxes area. (We are going to edit the printer settings)
  2. Right click on the Zebra printer and select properties.
  3. Go to the Printer tab
  4. Click the + sign to the left of the Advanced Option (To expand more options)
  5. Select the Tools button
  6. In the Direct Command for Printer box type (Without the quotes) '^default'
  7. Click the send button
  8. Give it a minute or two and then turn the printer off and back on.
  9. Give it a shot now!

Zebra GK420 reset

  1. Turn off the printer
  2. Hold down on the feed button
  3. Turn on the printer while holding the feed button
  4. Wait for a minute and then let go of the feed button
  5. Printer should send out a label with DUMP info printed
  6. Click the feed button again and the printer will exit dump
