Getting started with the PDA device

Using the PDA device for tracking

1. When turning on the PDA device, you should see the main screen of the PDA device's operating system.

2. Click the Start drop-down menu and select Tracker Products.

If the Tracker Products selection is not available in the Start menu, you may have to navigate to it in the Programs folder.

3. When opening the Tracker Products PDA software, select your username in the first dropdown menu and your office/department in the second dropdown menu. Click the Login button.

The Tracker Products PDA software does not require you to enter a password. This is to prevent username and password information from falling into the wrong hands should your PDA device be lost or stolen. However, when syncing data to the Tracker Products tracking system, the only user capable of transferring data collected with the PDA device into the tracking system is the same user that collected it. All users are required to enter their username and password when logging into the Tracker Products system.

4. From the Tracker Products PDA software main menu, you have the following options:

  • Audit Inventory of items in one or all locations
  • Move Move item(s) from one location to another within your facility
  • Check In Check-in a currently checked-out item
  • Check Out Check-out a currently checked-in item
  • Dispose Dispose of items(s)
  • Settings Modify the settings for the PDA device
