Un-dispose items
Tracker now has a feature that will allow a system admin to undispose an item that may have been marked dispose. This option will make the current status of the item checked in v/s disposed. The chain of custody history will still show that the item was disposed the first time.
To undispose an item follow these steps:
- Click the Tools drop down menu
- Click Undispose Item
- Select the case you want to work with
- Select the items you want to undispose
- Click Ok
Your item(s) will now be back to a active case status.
NOTE: Un-disposing an item will NOT remove chain-of-custody entries entered during the dispose process. Un-disposing an item simply changes the status of the item to allow you to use it again. You may need to use chain-of-custody maintenance to clean up any unwanted information left behind by the item's original dispose. You may also need to change the status of an item to un-disposed. In short, you may need to perform additional clean-up when un-disposing items.
