Item disposition
What is item disposition?
Item disposition is the process of changing an item's status from 'active' to 'inactive' or 'disposed'.
Preparing for item dispositions
Performing item dispositions with Tracker Products software is quick and easy. Preparing and setting up your agency for item disposition, however, requires some time and careful planning. Watch the video tutorials at right to see how the Spartanburg, South Carolina Police Department prepared their tracking system for dispositions.
Selecting items for disposition

- Navigate to the View tab.
- Select the item(s) you wish to process.
- Enable the Bucket List.
- Select 'Perform transaction'
- Select 'Dispose items' in the drop-down menu.

Apply disposition information
The Item disposition page allows you to select from multiple options when performing a disposition.
- Disposition Indicates the method of disposition for the item(s).
- Disposition Date Indicates the date of disposition for the item(s).
- Disposed By Indicates the individual who performed the disposition.
- Disposition Disposed Must remain checked to perform item disposition.
- Disposition Notes Indicates notes associated with the disposition of item(s).
- Item List Displays a list of the items included in the disposition.
