Updating temporary items
Temporary items are items that have been imported into the system but have yet to be placed in a permanent storage location. Users with add-item-only status can only make modifications to items with temporary status. Once the item has been moved to the permanent storage location, updates are no longer permitted.

Items in the 'My Items' tab are either Temporary or Active. The screen shot at right displays three items with 'temporary' status and three items that are 'active', no longer accessible to add-item-only users. To make modifications to one of the temporary items, simply click the item's corresponding 'T' icon in the left column.
Note: All item modifications are recorded in the advanced logging section for future reference.
