Adding a person to a case/project
Once you have successfully created a new case/project, you now have the option of adding persons to it. You may add as many persons as you wish to any case/project.
To add a new person to your new case/project, click the button at the bottom of the case/project submission page.
To add a new person to an existing case/project, navigate to the Quick menu and click on the 'Add Person' icon.

Enter the case/project number you wish to add a person to and click .
Complete the fields in the 'Add Person' submission form. Fields with a blue background are required. When you have completed the necessary fields, select from the buttons at the bottom of the submission form (described below) depending on the action you wish to take.
Fields on the 'Add person' screen
- Type: This dropdown menu allows you to select the 'type' of person you are adding to the case/project. The specific values displayed in the dropdown menu may be altered to fit your specific organization by utilizing the 'System customization' tools. For example: A law enforcement agency may choose to create and use values such as 'suspect', 'victim', 'witness' and 'person of interest'.
- Name: Use this text box to enter the person's name.
- Custom fields: Create subsequent custom fields to further categorize and describe the person being added.
Buttons on the 'Add Person' screen
- Commits the new person to the case/project, clears the data-entry fields and allows you to add another person to the case/project.
- Commits the new person to the case/project and duplicates the data-entry fields so that you can add a new person based on the one you just saved.
- Commits the new person to the case/project and directs you to the Quick menu.
- Commits the new person to the case/project and directs you to a page that will allow you to add items to your case/project.
